Gregg Wallace is claiming up to £10,000 in damages from the BBC and one of its subsidiaries.
The former BBC MasterChef host is suing after they allegedly caused him 'distress and harassment' by failing to disclose his personal data.
According to court documents, he is taking legal action against the BBC and BBC Studios Distribution Limited after being sacked in July.
His dismissal followed an investigation into historical allegations of misconduct, which upheld multiple accusations against him.
The BBC and BBC Studios are yet filed a defence to the claim.
