AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) - Umoja means "unity" in Swahili, and one local organization is doing their part to bring the community together.

Donna and Donald Wesby are the founders of Umoja Village, which is a non-profit organization designed to bring like-minded individuals together by pulling together its resources to help with the needs of the community.

In order to help with those efforts, the Umoja Village will be hosting Unity Weekend which includes two major events.

The 3rd Annual Unity Golf Tournament will take place Friday, October 17th at the Cedar Creek Golf Club, 2555 Club Drive in Aiken, South Carolina. To play as an individual, the cost is $90, or to play as a team of four the cost is $360.
