Friday evening update: It's a cooler and cloudy day as a low pressure develops near Florida. Our temperatures have reached the low 70s in many spots. However, with the persistent NE wind, it feels a little cooler. A Lake Wind Advisory continues through 11 a.m. Saturday for our central and eastern counties. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Take it easy if you are boating on area lakes.

We take a turn into the rain this weekend as an upper level low sits over eastern Georgia. At the same time that low near Florida will be moving north and strengthening. This will lead to increasing moisture. meets up with a coastal low. Expect a few showers on Saturday with highs in the low 70s. Rain coverage becomes more scattered overnight into Sunday. We could see some heavy downpours.
