BOURNE, Mass. —

One of the drivers in Wednesday's fiery three-car crash on Cape Cod has died, Bourne police said.

The collision occurred on Scenic Highway around 1:18 p.m. and involved a 2022 red Hyundai Kona driven by a 23-year-old Carver man, a 2010 blue Audi Q5 driven by a 46-year-old Lowell man, and a 2025 green BMW X1 driven by a 53-year-old Truro man.

On Friday, Bourne police said the driver of the Hyundai, Paul A. Navarro, died.

At the scene, first responders found one of the vehicles on fire and people trapped in another vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no further information was immediately available.
