FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The University of Arkansas is preparing to install donated “Ten Commandments” posters across campus buildings in compliance with state law.

"The University recently received donated posters of the 'Ten Commandments' and will soon begin to install the posters in university buildings and facilities as required under Act 573 of 2025," UofA Director of Media and Core Communications John Thomas said in a statement.

Act 573 of 2025 required the Commandments and the motto “In God we trust” to be in each elementary and secondary school classroom, as well as other places like government buildings and "institutions of 24 higher education."

The bill received broad support in both chambers, with a 27-4 vote in the Senate and a 71-20 vote in the House.
