MARSHALL, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said a high school teacher has been arrested after an investigation.
On Oct. 6, David Edmonds was charged with indecent liberties with a student.
Edmonds, an employee of Madison High School, was suspended on Sept. 26 during the law enforcement investigation.
His bond was set at $20,000.
“We will continue to cooperate and work hand-in-hand with the Sheriff Department’s investigation into this matter,” said Superintendent Will Hoffman. “Because of confidentiality laws, Madison County Schools cannot provide any further information about this matter.”
