GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — A Muskegon man was arrested after Michigan State Police troopers found several types of suspected narcotics during a traffic stop in Garfield Township.

According to an Oct. 10 news release from MSP, troopers from the Traverse City Post stopped a vehicle around 5:25 p.m. Oct. 5 on U.S. 31 near Marketplace Circle for a moving violation. During the roadside investigation, officers observed signs of possible narcotics trafficking.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of about 82 grams of suspected fentanyl, 14 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Chevaye Love of Muskegon, was arrested and later arraigned Oct. 8 in 86th District Court in Grand Traverse County. He faces one count of c
