A Marquette man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a minor multiple times more than 30 years ago, state officials said.

Ward Glass, 69, was found guilty of six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct by a Houghton County Circuit Court jury, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's Office.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 6. He faces up to life in prison for each count.

Glass' attorney, Brandon Rickard, was not immediately available for comment on Friday.

Authorities alleged the defendant sexually assaulted the victim multiple times between 1993 and 1996 at the Houghton County home they shared.

Officials said the victim filed a complaint with the state police about the assaults in 2024 after she encountered Glass again.
