YOUNGSTOWN Detectives are investigating the shooting of four people and a dog overnight on Youngstown’s South Side.

Officers were sent to West Willis Avenue late Thursday after three females and one male were wounded.

Police say one of the victims was hospitalized in serious condition with a gunshot wound. Additionally, Animal Charity Coordinator Jane MacMurchy tells 21 News a dog (pictured below) was wounded in the shooting.

MacMurchy says the dog will be undergoing surgery soon to get a bullet removed from her spinal column.

There’s no word yet on whether any arrests have been made.
