SIMSBURY, CT (WFSB) - A Simsbury first responder and animal control officer will be honored with a fundraiser on Saturday.
Deb Clark has stage 4 bile duct cancer, but it hasn’t let it stop her.
The community sought to honor her commitment to public service at the commuter lot on Iron Horse Boulevard in Simsbury.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Organizers said it will feature new and classic cars, and local support from police and firefighters.
Burgers and hotdogs will be freshly prepared.
Money raised from the fundraiser will go directly to Clark’s medical expenses.
Clark served as a firefighter in Farmington for 10 years. She was a member of the Farmington CERT team. She also has 25 years of experience as a K9 handler.
