BIB COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Bibb Correctional Facility officer has been arrested and faces multiple charges.
Curtis Green, who resigned from his position, tried to introduce a cell phone, approximately 68 grams of methamphetamine, and approximately seven grams of fentanyl into the facility, according to ADOC.
Green was arrested and taken to the Bibb County Jail.
He is charged with:
• Promoting Prison Contraband 1st degree
• Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd degree
• Trafficking Illegal Drugs / Methamphetamine
• Trafficking Illegal Drugs / Fentanyl
• Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime
• Use of Office for Personal Gain
ADOC K-9 handlers and Narcotics agents assisted in the case.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
