ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Surgeons are receiving a helpful robotic hand in Orange City, due to some newly installed technology.
The da Vinci 5, a state-of-the-art surgical robot, was introduced at the Orange City Area Health System, according to a press release by the healthcare system.
The robot transforms surgery by bringing better outcomes, efficiency and providing patients with the highest standard of care.
“The da Vinci 5 gives our surgeons 100 percent control with precise movements,” said Dr. Dan Locker, a general surgeon at Orange City Health System. “Scarring can be minimal, and many patients have less pain after surgery, which can lead to faster recovery and an opportunity to return to work sooner.”
