COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) -The College Station City Council recently delved into discussions surrounding the Midtown Small Area Plan and a significant proposal for a Southern Roots Baseball Complex. Thursday night’s lengthy meeting also addressed transparency measures aimed at fostering greater community involvement in future development decisions.

Council was presented with a plan for a nine-field Southern Roots Baseball Complex in the City’s Midtown area. The complex, which would feature five youth fields (for both softball and baseball) and four professional fields, is projected to generate an annual economic impact of $40-50 million.
