An activist says he and fellow prisoners were "beaten" after being detained by Israeli forces . ‌

Sid Khan was one of four Scots held after the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted last week. The 48-year-old, who is also known as Saddaqat, spent five weeks on the flotilla attempting to deliver aid to Gaza. ‌

Those detained between Wednesday, October 1 and Friday, October 3 were brought to Israel and put in prison. Sid landed back in Scotland on Wednesday with fellow activist Jim Hickey before he was reunited with his wife Isma Tahir Khan. ‌

The 42 boats were stopped on their way to Gaza beach and they were taken to the port of Ashdod and handed over to Israeli police.
