SEASIDE, Ore. (KPTV) - A man who was reported missing on Thursday has been found dead, according to the City of Seaside.

Wayne Wilson, 64, was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 near his home in the area of North Wahanna Road and Broadway Street. He was later reported missing which prompted an overnight search effort by Seaside Police and Seaside Fire & Rescue.

Just after 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, police were notified of a man found dead on the beach near the Avenue A approach. The man was later identified as Wilson.

The Clatsop County Medicolegal Death Investigator has started an investigation and will determine how Wilson died.

No other details have been released at this time.
