FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 15-year-old boy accused of shooting a 7-year-old Fort Wayne boy in May will be tried as an adult.
Chandrai Dashawn-Jerry Suttle was charged in the case in June but was moved to adult court on Friday. He’s accused of firing into an occupied Oliver Street home on May 21, striking 7-year-old Khalil Molargik, who was asleep in the home.
Suttle is charged with attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of criminal recklessness by shooting into a building.
The little boy’s mother, Chasity Molargik has become outspoken on local youth and gun violence since he was shot and after her older son, 16-year-old Si’Montre Anthony R’Chey Molargik , was fatally shot downtown in July.
