JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — The Johnson County coroner is facing 14 charges as he is accused of stalking a 17-year-old girl through unwanted text messages.

The Johnson County Prosecutor's Office formally charged Mike Pruitt, of Bargersville, with seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and seven counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Five deputy prosecutors resigned amid the allegations against Pruitt.

Johnson County Chief Deputy Coroner Derek Wilson confirmed to 13News that he – along with Derrick Hartman, Jasmine Coleman, Lydia Griffiths and Rebecca Cornejo – resigned effective Oct. 1.

Wilson issued a statement saying:
