FORSYTH, Ill. (WCIA) -- Despite figuring out that he was being set up in a human trafficking sting, a Dalton City man was unable to escape arrest because he had already sent explicit images of himself, which included his face, to undercover officers.

The arrest of Anthony Bird, 43, happened amidst an undercover human trafficking operation conducted by the Illinois Trafficking Enforcement Group, a relatively new task force consisting of the Illinois State Police, Decatur Police Department and McLean County Sheriff's Office. In a sworn statement, ISP Special Agent Jordan Adams said that on Aug. 22, Bird contacted a different special agent, thinking she was an underage girl, to meet for sex.
