HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC4) -- Herriman Police found a woman unconscious while responding to a domestic violence call Thursday night. SWAT responded and became involved in a standoff with the suspect in the incident.

At around 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 9, police responded to a 911 call reporting that a male was physically assaulting an adult female on the 5300 West block of Borglum Lane in Herriman.

The suspect, whose identity is being withheld to protect the victim, was reportedly seen entering the residence with a black handgun. Velarde allegedly threatened the female victim and an acquaintance with the gun.
