GRADY COUNTY, Ga. — The Grady County Sheriff’s Office announced today the arrest of Charles Lynwood Nix Jr., a fugitive taken into custody in Rome, Georgia by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Nix was wanted on multiple serious charges, including two counts of sexual exploitation of children, one count of absconded sex offender, and one count of probation violation. After warrants were issued, investigators say Nix fled to avoid prosecution — a move that ultimately failed.
Thanks to coordinated efforts between the U.S. Marshals, Rome, Ga. law enforcement, and local, state and federal partners, Nix was located and arrested without incident.
