Apache Junction City Clerk Evie McKinney has earned the designation of certified municipal clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Inc.

She is one of 73 certified municipal clerks in the state of Arizona to have the CMC designation, according to a release.

The IIMC awards the CMC to municipal clerks who fulfill extensive educational requirements and demonstrate a substantial commitment to their local government, community and state.

The CMC program has been supporting clerks since 1970, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively navigate the complex roles involved in running the City Clerk’s Office, the release states.
