FLINT, MI – The Burton woman who allegedly falsely accused a police officer of stealing $120 during a traffic stop will face trial for the false report she filed in February.

Zakara Jackson, 25, was charged with one felony count of false report of a felony after the Burton Police Department cleared the officer of any wrongdoing in the incident.

The police department posted a 12-minute clip of body camera footage that shows the traffic stop and interaction with Jackson and one other person, showing that the officer did not take any money.

Her case was bound over to Genesee County Circuit Court after a preliminary examination on Sept. 23.

Camren Bell, 24, the other person who was in the vehicle, is scheduled for a hearing in Genesee County District Court on Oct. 15.
