ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man accused in a double homicide that occurred more than six years ago in Orange County has been sentenced to life in prison, records show.
Pablo Antonio Tavarez, 32, was arrested almost six months after the May 2019 discovery of 34-year-old Kristina Upchurch and 37-year-old Nicole Evans . Both women were found decomposed in the 3900 block of West Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka, sheriff’s officials said.
According to Orange County Sheriff John Mina, Evans suffered two gunshot wounds to the head and multiple stab wounds while Upchurch had been stabbed multiple times.
