FORT DRUM, New York (WWNY) - The training range fire at Fort Drum has rekindled, and smoke is being pushed toward some nearby communities.
Post officials say the blaze started burning again on Friday.
They say that because the winds are coming from the south, smoke is being pushed toward Fowler, Antwerp and Gouverneur.
Earlier this week , Fort Drum reported that 10 to 20 acres of land on a training range were on fire.
Officials said firefighters could not respond to the scene because there were likely unexploded rounds on the land.
