ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- On Thursday, October 9th, the Chemung County Industrial Development Agency voted to approve a resolution, making Stemerman Sports Entertainment LLC one step closer to owning the LECOM Event Center in Elmira.

" The 90 days, I think, are up today, and starting tomorrow, the lawyers will be in talks to finalize whatever paperwork is necessary for the transfer. We fully expect to be running the arena from here on out. We’re excited about it. We have four teams there — the Aviators, the Buzz, the 16U/18U, and then we’re excited to have the Junior Aviators, which are all the youth hockey leagues," said Marc Stemerman with Stemerman Sports Entertainment.
