BEIJING (ABC4) — As he sat in his hotel room with peeling skin, blisters, and sore calves, Utah local, Jimmy Knight, spoke with ABC4 about his experience while being trapped on Mount Everest during a snowstorm.

Over the weekend, Knight, his cousin, and his girlfriend, were trapped on Mount Everest— an experience that Knight said was "pretty traumatic and pretty amazing".

The group was hiking to base camp when they got stuck in a snowstorm. Knight said that the storm left more than a foot of snow on the trail.

However, the skies cleared up, and the group decided to continue hiking to base camp. They were about 15 miles out.
