Shillong, Oct 10: In a great opportunity for the state’s young karatekas, the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) has sent 108 of them to Arunachal Pradesh for the 4th North East Zone Karate Championship 2025.
The two-day event will begin tomorrow in Itanagar.
The Meghalaya karatekas range in age group from sub-junior to cadet, junior, U-21 and up to the senior level. Seven team officials and eight technical officials have also accompanied the state team.
Winners from this championship will be shortlisted to participate in the KIO (Karate India Organisation) All India Inter Zone Karate Championship 2025, which will be held in Goa in December.
