GRAND ISLE, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - U.S. Route 2 is reported closed Friday in Grand Isle following a crash, and the closure is expected to last "at least a few hours," according to Vermont State Police.

The closure is near the intersection with Pearl Street, just north of the town boundary with South Hero.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes. Authorities are specifically suggesting Vermont Route 314, which passes near Gordon Landing, as a detour.
