Channing Tatum's new crime comedy Roofman adapts a surreal and heartfelt true story, even if it required leaving out some of the more insane elements of its inspiration. Co-written and directed by Oscar nominee Derek Cianfrance, the film tells the story of Jeffrey Manchester, a former US Army Reserve member who went on a crime spree through the late '90s robbing McDonald's locations across the country.
