The Altadena Town Council Saturday, Oct. 11, will hold a community celebration and resource fair marking the council’s 50-year anniversary.
Elections for the first Altadena Town Council were held Oct. 11, 1975, and this year, maybe unlike any of the previous 50, thrust the Town Council into the public eye.
“We are proud to honor the work of those who came before us, reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together, and look ahead to the future as we begin to shape Altadena in light of the Eaton Fire,” Town Council Chair Victoria Knapp said in a statement.
Not only did the homes of four Town Council members burn in the fire, but it has served as a source of information throughout the recovery process and advocated to county, state and federal leaders on behalf of the unincorporated comm
