The Timmins Police Service has arrested Jacob Beisel, 26, of Timmins in connection with a violent break in at a downtown pet shop.

On the evening of Sunday, June 29, sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight, three armed men invaded the home of Robert Boucher and Hailee Morgan. The couple live above their shop, Aquatics & Exotics, at 216 Second Ave.

When Boucher was about to take out the garbage, the three men cornered him.

“They put a machete to my throat,” Boucher told The Daily Press on Friday.

“I thought it was my neighbours upstairs having people over, I couldn’t really tell. They told me ‘get in the f*ing apartment.’ They hit me with the machete.”
