Four or five people robbed a vape store on Varsity Drive N.W., police say

A group of armed robbers menaced staff at a vape shop in the Varsity area Friday afternoon.

During the noon hour, several suspects held up the Cowboys Shop at 4624 Varsity Dr. N.W., the Calgary Police Service said in a dispatch issued to media.

“Staff were robbed by four or five people who entered the shop and threatened them with weapons,” police said.

No one was injured in the incident and police said they were scouring the neighbourhood for the offenders.

Some vape and cannabis shops in the city have been beefing their security amid an increase in robberies and burglaries.
