ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - An Elyria woman who says her sickly son was injured when police raided the wrong home has filed a federal lawsuit against the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.

The federal lawsuit names the Lorain County Board of Commissioners, Lorain County Sheriff Jack Hall and prior Lorain County Sheriff Phil Stammitti.
Cameras were rolling on January 10, 2024, at 331 Parmely Ave in Elyria.
That’s when Ring doorbell video captured multiple officers with the Elyria Police Department’s Special Response Team breaking through the front door of a family’s home with a battering ram.
They also used flash bang explosives.
“All I see was lights flashing and smoke coming into the house,” Courtney Price told 19 New
