MADISON, Wis. -- Raeven Johnson, the 26-year-old woman convicted of attacking a Madison Metro bus driver, causing the bus to crash into a local restaurant in February, was sentenced to three years in prison Friday afternoon, according to online court records.

Johnson pleaded guilty to second-degree recklessly endangering safety (repeater) and attempted battery to a public transit operator on Aug. 13.

Prosecutors said Johnson attacked the bus driver on Feb. 25 after the driver said the route was not going to Johnson's desired destination. The driver lost control during the altercation, causing the bus to crash into the Asian House restaurant. Two people, including the driver, sustained injuries from the crash, one of whom was transported to a local hospital.
