MARION, Iowa — An individual died in Marion today after falling from a communications tower at 3602 North 10th Street.

The Marion Fire Department responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. and found CPR already underway. The Area Ambulance Service joined the rescue efforts, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion Police Department is investigating the incident with assistance from the State Medical Examiner’s office.
