Heads up Hartford! You'll see thousands of runners pounding the pavement through the Capital City tomorrow. It’s the Hartford Marathon , and they are expecting a big turnout - one of the biggest in 10 years.

This year, the Hartford Marathon is at capacity with 10,000 runners, a 7% increase from last year.

One of those runners is Courtney Luyando, a teacher at Booth Hill Elementary School in Shelton.

Friday, Booth Hill was covered with vibrant, heartfelt posters to support Luyando before she embarks on 26.2-mile journey. She’s running her first marathon on Saturday in Hartford in memory of her 12-year-old son Greyson, who died from leukemia in May.
