After many months of lobbying for a Nobel Peace Prize (and denying that he was doing so), President Donald Trump was passed over in favor of María Corina Machado of Venezuela (“ Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado wins the Nobel Peace Prize ,” Oct. 10). Ms. Machado was honored for fighting against dictatorship and fighting for democracy in her country, which is the opposite of what Donald Trump is trying to do.
