LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A former teacher has been sentenced to prison for the sexual abuse of several students, while two other educators face trial for failing to report it.

The Leavenworth County, Kansas, Attorney’s Office announced that Jerome C. Riscovallez, 55, has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.

Court documents indicated that Riscovallez was found guilty of two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. His six victims ranged in age from 8 to 10 years old.

Prosecutors noted that at the time of the crimes, Riscovallez was a teacher in the Leavenworth School District . He sexually abused the students in his classroom between Aug. 1, 2023, and Feb. 25, 2025.
