PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The West Linn doctor accused of sexually abusing more than 100 patients will now face criminal charges.

Dr. David Farley was booked into Clackamas County Jail on Friday on charges of sexual abuse after a grand jury indicted him last week on charges dating back to 2009.

At least 170 former patients have accused Farley of sexual misconduct while he treated them as patients at his former business, the West Linn Family Health Center, as well as at Providence and Legacy hospitals in Oregon City and Tualatin.

The doctor avoided prosecution in 2022. But in 2024, the West Linn Police Department was found to have mishandled its investigation. Since then, the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office asked the Oregon Department of Justice to take over.
