ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A 57-year-old man from Florissant is being charged for allegedly making a terrorist threat to a hospital.
According to a probable cause statement, Kieran Murphy called Christian Northeast around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, saying that there was a bomb in the hospital's emergency room. During that call, Murphy told the hospital he "would remotely detonate" the bomb, which caused many to evacuate the emergency room.
Officers from the North County Precinct responded to the incident, and a vapor wake dog was used to locate the suspected bomb. However, the vapor wake dog found nothing. Police began tracing the number tied to the caller who made the alleged threats.
What investigators found between the six call logs Murphy made to the hospital led to his arrest.
