A federal judge has ruled that 11 people taken into custody during an ICE raid at a Liberty restaurant in February are due "relief" from the federal government after being subjected to warrantless arrests.

Under the terms of a suit filed against the Department of Homeland Security, the judge found that the arrests of 11 of the "Liberty 12" were improper. Advertisement

KMBC 9 News reported in February that 12 people were taken into custody after an alleged immigration raid at the El Potro Mexican Restaurant.

Photos and videos showed numerous Homeland Security investigators entering El Potro in Liberty, Missouri, just before lunchtime in early February.
