KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen's Aviation Department officially opened its newest feature this week, the Skylark Field Terminal.
The City hosted the grand opening for the new terminal on Friday, Oct. 10, marking the occasion with a ribbon cutting and community event.
The new 3,000-square-foot terminal is housed at Skylark Field Airport, and is designed to "enhance operational capacity, and improve services for aviation customers," the City said.
The City said the terminal will "accommodate a range of aviation services for both locally based and transient pilots, ensuring a seamless experience for all users." Amenities will reportedly include a break room, vending machines, a complimentary coffee bar, a conference room and a pilot's lounge.
