ESOPUS, N.Y. — Mount Academy’s boys soccer team bested Roosevelt 5-1 in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) match on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Craig Baird, Bruce Maendel, Michael Meier, David Hine and Carl Hindley all scored goals for the Mount (8-1 MHAL, 10-2-1 overall).

Hindley and Bruce Maendel each had two assists, while John Maendel chipped in with one.

Mount keeper Johann Fransham made four saves.

Andrew Jaques scored the Roosevelt goal, with Elian Flores-Solis assisting.

Emanuel Angel made six saves in goal for the visiting Presidents (3-7).

At Kingston, the host Tigers fell to 5-2 in the league and 9-3 overall with the defeat at Dietz Stadium.
