BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested a woman on Wednesday who they suspect of human trafficking a 15-year-old girl.
Officers responded to a call where they found the girl, who claimed she was being sex trafficked by the women living with her, according to police records.
Police arrested Timara Courtney, 22, who claimed that she barely knew the girl. According to Courtney, they originally met in New Orleans with friends, and were only living together in Baton Rouge because the girl offered to keep her company.
Courtney was booked for human trafficking.
