BENTON COUNTY, Mo - A Kansas City woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Benton County.

The accident happened just after 8:15 last night near the intersection of Missouri Highway M and McKenna Villa Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Kansas City woman crossed the centerline and drove off the left side of the road. Her truck struck a bridge before coming to rest.

She suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton for treatment. The woman wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
