ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - After speaking with the community in a series of public meetings, Atlanta Public Schools officials have released a refined long-term plan for the district.

Dubbed APS Forward 2040 , the plan shutters some schools and combines others as the district grapples with old facilities and shifting population levels, especially low enrollment.

These are the newly proposed changes:

KIPP Soul Primary and KIPP Soul Academy, both charter schools, could be repurposed.
