Southern New England could experience a nor’easter this weekend as a tropical wind and rainstorm moves along the Atlantic coast, according to AccuWeather .
Communities from North Carolina up the coast to New York City could see issues with power outages, travel disruptions and other damage, the outlet reported. One to 3 feet of intense rain is expected with other areas increasing to 4 or 5 feet in some beach areas, the outlet reported.
“It is possible this storm may evolve into a sub-tropical or hybrid storm that is part tropical and part non-tropical in nature. If it becomes a subtropical storm, it would be named Lorenzo, as that is the next storm name on the list for the 2025 Atlantic season," AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva said.
