WESTERN SLOPE, Colo. (KREX) - Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser visited the Western Slope on Friday as part of his campaign for governor, despite inclement weather.

During his visit, Weiser engaged with local residents, discussing key issues such as affordability, Medicaid and the challenges facing the Colorado River.

"The message is clear. We've got a challenging moment ahead in Colorado. We need leadership that leans in with experience, with bold ideas and a commitment to creative problem solving," Weiser stated.

Starting in Montrose, Weiser emphasized the importance of addressing affordability concerns, which he noted are top of mind for voters.
