GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Saturday morning, the Grand Junction Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Colorado Mesa University Plaza, located at 1455 N 12th Street.
Despite the projected rainy weather for this weekend, the event will take place "rain or shine."
With the "Totally 80's" theme, attendees are encouraged to dress up and participate to raise money to "End Alzheimer's." Registration will open at 9 a.m., with the walk shortly taking place after the ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
As one of 13 different Alzheimer's Association's Walks to End Alzheimer's across the state, the Walk in Grand Junction will raise funds to support research for a cure and to provide services to families. The Grand Junction walk aims to raise $103,000 and has raised 95% of the goal
