TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) -- People in Tuscola are being asked to conserve water amid a large leak on a water main that supplies the town.
City officials posted on Facebook that the water main leak happened in Champaign County. Despite this, the city is not under a boil order.
"Tuscola will operate normally from stored water in our water tower," officials wrote. "However, we ask residents to conserve water by using it only for essential uses."
Watering lawns, washing cars and doing laundry are just some of the uses that officials are asking people to avoid Friday night and Saturday morning.
Officials expect the leak to be repaired by Saturday morning.
